New Jersey Home Invasion Caught on Nanny Cam
A recent home invasion in Millburn, New Jersey, has raised the profile of the utility of a video security system and what it can do to help deter and aid in the prosecution of home invaders (as well as abusive nannies). The victim of the invasion, an unidentified mother of two, was at home with her two children when a man burst in and violently beat her and threw her down the basement stairs. The entire incident was caught on tape, as Shawn Custis broke into the house and immediately assaulted the victim in full view of one of her children. The footage was later uploaded to the internet and watched by millions of people. It will also be used in Custis’ trial.
